Position Responsibilities:
1. Drive the sales and gain market share in BJ/Northern China or GZ/Southern market. Provides continual support to customers and manage distributors via on-site visits, phone and e-mail. Troubleshoots customer problems; works with customers as well as distributor reps to provide resolutions.
2. Prepares and presents technical seminars and on-site user training programs / on-site cell culture application. Prepares and updates technical presentations.
3. Represents Lonza to the market including all potential and current customers, and effectively communicates LBSP capabilities to technical and business audiences.
4. Organise, plan and schedule the use of time to provide optimum and effective account coverage, maintains high frequency of on site account visits.
5. Fully develops product knowledge capabilities, applications and product justification in order to be recognised as the expert in the field. completes technical and sales training at direction of management.
6. Collects and forwards to management market information including competitive promotions, contract prices, new products, new applications and customer needs.
7. Prepares and submits to management timely and accurate reports that provide information regarding customer and distributor, performance and activity/current status of key accounts.
8. Effectively plans and manages personal expenses as well as tactical marketing expenses under his/her responsiblity at or below budgeted levels.
9. Works with distributors sales reps to establish strategic collaborations and/or partnerships with strategic key industrial (pharma/biotech) accounts.
10. As part of Chinese team, will be involved in product training of distributors sales representatives and other SPS representatives as required.
Position Requirements:
? M.S. in Life Sciences with emphasis in cell biology.
? Minimum of 2 years of field sales experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or research markets.
? Minimum of 3 years of cell culture experience, cell therapy is preferred
? Knowledge and experience in cell culture biotech/biopharm laboratory and/or manufacturing, preferred.
? Prior lab and/or application experience in industrial (pharma/biotech) and/or academic accounts required. Previous experience in giving seminar and/or technical presentations preferred.
? Computer software skills including Microsoft Office, maintaining customer database, spreadsheet creation and maintenance skills, filing, organization, record keeping and planning skills, ability to manage multiple projects, time management skills.
? Excellent communication (both written and verbal) with ability to articulate key technical concepts; listening skills; independent and self-directed.
? Strong, customer-focused philosophy.
? Fluent English
